Sean O'Brien, AIA, Project Architect

Sean P. O'Brien, AIA, is a Project Architect for Howard Kulp Architects where he manages multiple concurrent projects in all aspects of the design, construction and renovation process including: Schematic Design and Planning, Design Development, Contract Documentation and Construction Administration.

Mr. O'Brien is a registered architect in Pennsylvania, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and treasurer of AIA Pennsylvania. Mr. O'Brien is also a member of the Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) as well as the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. He has also been active in community service activities, including serving as an Executive Board Member of Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka (Indiana), the Advisory Board for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and a Board Member of the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

Mr. O'Brien returned to Howard Kulp Architects in 2006 after six years serving as the Director of Community Service at the University of Notre Dame where he spearheaded alumni community service programs that engaged 110,000 Notre Dame alumni and friends in humanitarian service around the world. Prior to his position at Notre Dame, Mr. O'Brien was a Project Architect for Howard Kulp Architects. He also served as project manager at several architectural firms in the eastern Pennsylvania/western New Jersey region.

Mr. O'Brien received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1986 from the University of Notre Dame. He also graduated from the Leadership South Bend program in St. Joseph County, Indiana in 2002, received his BOCA certification in 1996, and is a Certified Army Engineer.
